mine do on full lock,and some bumps :(
Not if you put on an extra stop to limit the turning circle like volvo did to our old one. That was on tritons with 225 x18 tyres

Think you'll get away with 215's
215 are no problem I have them fitted toy titans I do have some new rubber to fit which are 225 so time will tell

i have 225 45 17 and yes they do rub on full lock with standard stop locks. However if you fit the C70 stop locks it stops the rubbing thats on Koni yellows with Eibach springs. My new wheels are 235 40 18 will be interesting too see if they rub or not.................................................

Yes they will rub. I got stopped by the police cos he could hear it when I went around a roundabout a bit fast. When I told him it was normal he didn't really understand..

225's rub, even on my S60! 215's are deffo the way forward :B_thumb:
I have got 235 / 40/ 17's Toyo Proxys on my Ph1 V70 R and I haven't noticed a thing different. No rubbing atall
Wally dog is running Ameltheas on his 850 (225x45x17) and he says they "rub a bit" I'm running the same on mine and they rub a lot lol. Tyre choice is important as some tyres flair out more than others. When I had Barum Bravuris2 on the front they didn't rub at all but the Avon ZV5s are a different story :(

Tony.[/QUOTE] Yes mate, they're quite wide at the tread end. Great tyres tho. Little tip - go 3-4 psi over what recommended by Volvo (usually written in the fuel flap) to get the best out of them ;)

I could tell you mine but mine's a heavier car with bigger tyres so the pressures will be different.
I never thought to ask about taking my old tyres back....then again i would have had to strap 2 to the roof! :yikes: i dont have your bootspace. Tony.

Doesn't the R have different wishbones? The P2 R has a far worse turning circle than the standard P2 (which is also crap) and I don't know of many R owners complaining of rubbing.

I'm just about to put tyres on some refurbed tritons for my p1 V70R on koni fsds & eibach springs (so almost std for an R I'd say, maybe a nats §§§§§ lower!).....I've got AP brakes on front with 5mm spacers (so probably near 10mm o/all) and got 10mm spacers on rear, so I have some sideways or offset clearance over std. Ideally I'd run 235x35x18 but can't seem to find that size, and 235x40x18's seem to be less expensive than the 225x35s!?! ....tyres are doing my head in at the moment!!!
