his ad seems to be aimed squarely at outside lane hugging arseholes, i like saabs, i once had a 900turbo. but the problem was that with a tonne and a half of shit from ikea i couldent pass wind never mind a tesco wagon on the a9. so i bought i t5 and all is well in the world. everyone is allowed their own opinion but some ppl should be made to keep it to themselves:)

I've never driven one, but I've been in one and they really do go. The only downside is I find the dash is too complicated.
saabs are the business...but only proper ones..ie up to and including classic shape 900...i daresay his saab is the bollocks, but its probably got to much power for a fwd vauxhall chassis
This joker was tryin to sell this exact car over a month ago :slap: Either that or he describes all his saabs like this! I have been in a tuned saab a while ago, & they are quick but not as quick as my volvo!! Mac.
Flip it around. In my mind he's just making a bloody good advert for a T5 which would be cheaper in most cases than the cars he's selling. If it is the same car I can assume it's because all his previous buyers have pulled out and gone and bought a 2k T5 instead :)

Why no leather !?!? Seems an odd spec. Are they all like that ?
56 mph speeding on the motorway at midnight, then how the hell does he know its faster than a T5, probablly just feels faster due to the old vauxhall chassis, I would be happy to take him on in a standard 854 t5 or a RICA V70! Saabs r ok but that one wouldnt worry me.
Its not faster than a T5...Ive had both (see my user name for clues!)and the Volvo is definately quicker!...and it goes round corners unlike the SAAB which feels vague and unwieldy. :pants: He'll also not shift it unless he drops under 8.5k! I was offered a 2002 model Earo estate when I bought my S60 with the proper leather, sunroof and upgraded stereo with 95k miles on it for 8.7k and that was from a dealer!
I have customers with slabs. if you want bits for them there are pants. 9 weeks for a oil feed pipe. wtf? rattly dashes and poor fitting interior. and really poor suspension. dont know about the spangy ones. i had a 85 900 turbo which was ok. till it blew the head of it. i now have had volvos for years. much better. imha. but this ad is the same on as last time. would you want to rw it. not me. :icon_soap
Shame he's got to slag off other cars to sell his... I like Saab's and I like that one, but he's putting off potential buyers as the same buyers for Saab's are often Volvo's...unless, as someone else said, he fails to sell it because they are buying T5's...

Yeah you can also find the 2.8 V6 twin turbo in the new Vectra VXR and unsurprisngly probably the rest of the Vectra underneath the saab aswell!
i had a 900 turbo aero, i liked it untill the drve shafts buckled, then the turbo packed up and then the main drive chains from the crank to the gear box snapped when a little oil collector fell off into the chains and punched a few holes in the casing , so i repaired it with my mechanic brother and put split link chains on instead (not a good idea) then quickly advertised it and sold it to a bunch of asian lads who hooned it up and down my road for 10 minutes then offered me 200 less than i wanted ,so i snapped their hand off and promptly moved house. but it never was as quick as my t5.
Yeah, this has been on before, he has also sold lots of V70's T5-r's...car dealer under a different ID...not too far from me..sells from home. Looks like he is into Saab's now instead of Volvo's. I did post a reply on a similar thread with his other ID....cant find it now....
Bit of a dodgy seller then! Must be picking the cars up at auction with high mileage then selling them on.

in defence of proper saabs.....saabs were/are my first love and i'v owned about a dozen... if anyone asks me the fastest car iv owned, i reply without hesitation an '87 saab 900 turbo t16s..its mid range was fantastic, it really pushed you back in your seat, and when the power came on in 3rd 4rth and 5th, it literally felt like it was gonna take off!!..now here is the reality..my 850 t5 would have p****d all over the saab, both on paper and on the road..not sure about the bends..still think the old saab might just have the edge, but straight line and top end, NO CONTEST!!...but the volvo is/was SO civilised, SO smooth, it just went about its business with such little drama, and would drive away from many so called performance cars without dropping a gear...so whats the fastest car i'v ever owned..saab 900 t16, no question..no, wait.........
Although the 9-5 and t5 are close run competitors on paper I find them both completely different on the road, the 9-5 due to its aged Vectra underpinnings is more akin to the original 850 T5 in the way it drives but with woolier steering! The SAAB 4 pot sounds gutless too and non descript compared with a T5 howl :B_steerin To compare an '02 9-5 Aero with a '02 P2 T5 is really no comparison. The Volvo is leaps ahead in pretty much every respect. Dont get me wrong , the Saab 9-5 is a credible car, its just that the game has moved on since when it was launched back in '97.
I'm being stupid gang, but I thought the 9-3 was the one with the Vauxhall underpinnings, not the 9-5 ? Anyway, I think we all agree that Saab's are pretty good, but we all prefer T5's...oh, and that bloke is a numpty!
The last 900 / 9-3 was based on the old Cavalier! The 9-5 is a stretched previous model Vectra floorpan! You cant tell though, they all feel very SAAB like. :troutslap
