Hi Guys, as title suggests, I need to run a line in to power a sub encloseur in the boot. What's the best way thorugh the fire wall? I have a 12v aux socket in the boot, is that any good?? Cheers.

I think that socket is only good for 60W in short bursts - not ideal for a sub mate. P2s have the battery in the boot - makes connecting a Sub much easier :D

Yeah that's what I was thinking, shame. It's also got a tow bar I could split off but then it's getting it back to the inside without having to drill. I had a quick word with Brett and he says there's a blank gromet that comes out in passenger foor well, near the heater matrix, I'll have a better gander when I'm on lunch.

Yeah, there's the holes used for the LHD models - I think they just bung most of them with grommets. there's room for cables where the carpet slopes - up from the floor to the doors.

if you follow the throttle cable theirs some spare bulkhead entry points on that grommet, or theirs one the opposite side hidden under the ABS pump. Run a fresh source DON'T tap off anything else

Although thinking about it that was on a Maestro so could of been the factory wiring lol

I went through a gromet piping to two rubber tubes at foot level in the passenger well. I'll get a pic later but looks as though it will do just fine. Back at work now and itching to get it all connected!

OK, i put carpet back before I got a pic, sorry. Had a right old mare getting it going, i checked everything with my trusty multimeter bar the bloody rem signal circuit. When I finally did, it was dead flat. After some investigation I found another 12v signal line coming out of a different loom on the HU and tried that with much more success. Now i can't hear my rattly tail gate over the sounds of rolling drum snares :D mega! cheers for input everyone!
