Hey guys,
Returning to the fold after a bit of time away, had a '97 850 AWD 2.5 lpt which I sold still going strong with 234k on it :hug:
Been runining various things since but today I've collected an '06 S40 sport D, really pleased with it especially for what I paid for it ;)
Anyway, I only got one key with the car, had a look on eBay and can't see a key the same and I fear going to the local dealer in Dundee so any suggestions on getting a spare key would be greatly appreciated

Welcome back buddy!
Not sure on where to get a spare key but I'd say that being an 06 plate you'll need a visit to the dealer as the key will need programming.

The local dealer in Dundee haha can you actually call it that, Volvo is squeezed into a tiny corner of the showroom now. What a shame to see them mingling with lesser brands.

well after a bit of sctratching about on the web it seems the stealers is the only place to get a replacement key,
apparently the key pack comes with a code card which is needed during the coding process so it's a one time deal, used keys cannot be coded to a different car so it seems....
anyway the cost quoted wasn't that bad, £143 for the key and the coding.
