A bloke at work (large head) recons his 10 year old Supra 3.0 non turbo manual will easy beat 14.5 seconds, as far as i know his only mod is a fat exhaust out the back and admittedly nice wheels, he's of to Santa Pod on Sunday for the japfest....and i'm wondering should i have £20 on it? unfortunatelly i've been taking the piss which has resulted a challenge with me for a dash down the motorway....mmmmmm not sure about that. :B_steerin

I reckon he will beat 14.5, however from a rolling start the T5 should have no problems.

EDIT - wrong year i think I recon he will not be able to do it. But he should get 15's :D

non turbo ones are not that fast hi 15 or 16sec run i bet

Agreed I was up against a modified turbo supra my first time at the pod he did a 14.3 I did a 15.3.(i was stock) Turbo versions can be tunned upto 500 bhp on standard internals and upto 1000bhp with lots of money speant! I would be supprized if a non twin turbo would do any less than 15s.

A standard turbo car can do 13's easy enough, and as lance said 500-1000 hp is feasable.

10 years old, is that the more square shape then? it'll be lighter than the car we all imagine when you say Supra, still though, I'd put your £20 on. Ross

10 year old is the round shaped one. The square one stopped in 1992 i think. This bad boy was 1993 - 1998 Image

Go For It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T5 All The Way!!!

Put it this way, my S60 D5 with me driving was able to beat an MR2 2.0 non turbo which was doing about 17 secs. Unless he's got hidden nitrous, I don't think he'll get lower than 15. Adam.

Totally agree, especially as it's that shape, not exactly the lightest cars in the world. 220 bhp, 210 lb/ft, 1550kg Ross

DAM...its going to have to wait, his mk4supra club has cancelled the meet :pants: , looks like that could have been an easy £20.

can he not just go anyway? or does he need the other supras to hold his hand, badger him a bit with such statements, tell him he's scared to go in case he loses th ebet, and that you'll up ot to £50 if he goes, if he's that confident he's on a winner, his trip will be paid for lol. Always fun the banter, I said to a guy in a modified TT Supra in the queue at Crail last time out "Your not going to dodge an old Rover are you" as he hung back and made me do the run myself so he could race a rwd skyline...hehe, they do run and hide on occasion in the queue, was obviously liking his Supra ambience and didnt want it spoiled.
