Welcome back mate :D I was wondering where you'd got to!
Moment of complete feckin madness mate, won`t happen again I can assure you, regretted selling as soon as Tony (lazybones) drove off in it, he has very graciously agreed to let me have it back

Welcome back Mate :)
Hello mate good to see u back
Welcome back, no more selling that C70 !
I had wondered where you'd got to. My C70 currently has a man where the engine used to be. And welcome home.
Thanks Dave, where is your engine :shockedbi
Both of them are in the same place - near to but not in the engine bay as such. You can read about the rest in my project thread
Welcome back buddy :D
welcome back mate
Tell us why and what you missed? Cos' ive been toying about selling mine - but can't bring myself to do so.
Tell us why and what you missed? Cos' ive been toying about selling mine - but can't bring myself to do so.
It's like a family pet - no matter how old and tatty it gets, or what it costs you to keep it going, you just can't bring yourself to bang it over the head with a shovel.
Welcome back fella
Tell us why and what you missed? Cos' ive been toying about selling mine - but can't bring myself to do so.
I stupidly thought that I would not miss the comfort, effortless performance, torque steer on wet roundabouts (or dry for that matter!) and the look on the M3 drivers face in your rear view mirror as he was just a little too slow to get on the gas Then there is the impression that the engine is as strong at the end of a 300 mile journey as it was when you set off, few cars do this, you normally get used to it as you go and it is so well built and solid feeling Apart from that can take it or leave it ;)
Welcome back Rik, I've now got a C70 T5 GT. Have you still got both Cougars?

Hi Steve, good to hear from you Hows things down your way, Rach OK? Yes, still got Cougars but they are going now. C70 is taking over daily driver duties and there will be a 3 door car from the mid 80`s with a blue oval and a turbocharger occupying the spare space in the garage What happened to your R, did you write it off

Rachel's good, we had a little boy a couple of months ago, so got our hands full now. Hope to see you and Denise at a meet soon, and good luck with the RS Turbo. :D
Welcome back Rik :-) Wondered where you went.

Good news that you have still got the R, is it behaving itself? C70`s are amazing bits of kit, just happened to pm Tony the day he got ours mot`d, coincidence or what, haven`t collected it yet though Hopefully will catch up with you both next year Wouldn`t be seen dead in an RSTurbo!
welcome back mate

No Rachel didn't do much shouting and screaming, and he was born with forceps in the end, so she had an epidural, and couldn't feel a thing. ;) Yeah, the R's behaving itself at the moment, though we had to get the VVT unit on the exhaust cam changed, but it's now running better than ever. My C70 has a few rough edges, but I'm hoping to get it up to the standard of my Cougar at least, so that should keep me busy. The only other mid '80's turbo charged Ford hatchback is a Sierra Cosworth in which case I'm really jealous. Catch up with you both soon mate.
Welcome back Rik :-) Wondered where you went.
Momentary lapse of reason mate, I`m afraid (listen to too much Pink Floyd!) I have seen the light though and will be a frequent attendee at any car club based lunacy that occurs Look forward to the comfy leather seats and torque steer again
Welcome to the nut house
