Front end is bang-on mate, the HD shocks on the back are kicking it up by bout 20mm, possibly more. You should have seen the things, wider than a coke can and impossible to move.
I'll get some better pics tomorrow.

Must say you've done a cracking job mate, go have that well deserved beer
Hopefully that will quieten down all those who said it needed lowering now :B_thumb:

Nice one MRP
So you now have a flatter ride whilst still being able to see over hedges?
Post 544009 by M-R-P on 2012-10-27 23:02:09
I can still hit a badger at 40 without it going through the windscreen lol.

My s60 sits high at rear to..was temped to do a pedro style mod and attack it with a grinder
Post 544012 by M-R-P on 2012-10-27 23:08:11
I think the P2s have a naturally high bum - you have standard shocks or the abominations I found in mine?
Post 544020 by smithy on 2012-10-27 23:31:14
Nice job mate
Post 544026 by graemewelch on 2012-10-27 23:57:34
Standard shocks. Used to koni fsd but they were harsh. Handling was great though. Prob end up with uprsted shocks again
Post 544028 by M-R-P on 2012-10-28 00:03:11
I've got Boge automatic on the front of mine and they're brilliant, If I change the rears, I'll get them.

there's frost on the cars now tho :(
Post 544048 by Redbrick on 2012-10-28 00:37:19
The nivomats control the ride height which is why the rear is sitting at the same height as before.
The nivomats control the ride height which is why the rear is sitting at the same height as before.
They aren't nivs mate, Just super heavy duty rear shocks - she's actually riding 30mm lower than before at the back end, as the springs would allow it to....
Check the part number if you like. 3063985

I was going to say that they look a lot like nivomats to me. It makes sense though, a lot of plod cars have self leveling suspension because all of all the extra crap they carry.

It'll take a flash, same as any other P2 would. Weird thing is how I'm running 16psi with no warning lights...
Got some more pics to go up later.
Post 544179 by ExternalError on 2012-10-28 18:10:38
with the front lowered like that and the back still sticking its §§§§ in the air i think you officially now have a V70 dragster edition
Post 544181 by M-R-P on 2012-10-28 18:21:01

Post 544247 by jardon on 2012-10-28 23:35:32
Looks nice Martin and what a steal at £40!! I'd stick a wanted ad up for rear shocks - quite a few folk have fitted coilovers etc so there must be some used shocks floating about somewhere. I gave my Koni FSD's to a chap called Graingey on T5D5 and they may still be available.
Post 544251 by M-R-P on 2012-10-29 07:20:27
Thanks. I was thinking about selling the nivomats as I can get a fair few quid for them and using the money to not only buy some nice rear shocks and bank the rest.
From what ive seen, if I put them up for 150 quid, they should go pretty quick :)

Post 561209 by M-R-P on 2013-01-09 22:40:59
Just to put this thread to bed, the last peice of the puzzle arrived today... In the form of some 2nd hand, oe shocks. Once again, Qady to the rescue ;) Thanks mate - Let me know what I owe you :)
So, 2 hours this evening, using 2 jacks, a curb, some spanners and a bit more effort than I was prepared to expend saw the Big Sweed sitting pretty at last.
I didn't have chance to give her a wash so please forgive the state she's in :( Here's some pics...
Hopefully, the springs will settle and she'll drop another 5mm but the ride is massively improved, more comfort, more feedback from the rear end, more confident in the twisties.
Happy M-R-P :D

Post 561226 by Kingsford G on 2013-01-09 23:46:33
Looks just right mate.In terms of mapping, not worth it I think as u running 16psi as it is and the engine doesn`t need more stress, should be fast enough as is.

Thanks KG. :)
The 16psi is only temporary, holds for a few seconds and drops off to 10. although it holds for longer in 4th... oooh boy does it hold longer in 4th :D
I think I'd rather it had a controlled boost and a more consistant power curve than the spike I currently use to destroy Saxos and M-Sports.
Got plans for something else next ;)
Post 561231 by M-R-P on 2013-01-10 00:04:46
Bit of a gamble - unknown brand, trusted to control your boost. At least with names like Forge etc. you know the calibration is of a good standard. Lot of money too.

Nope, couldn't help myself lol. Took longer than I thought - i forgot how long the nivs were - and you can't compress them to get them out.
