Just said yes to a new role within the same company. Applied for a Director's role and just missed out on it, but was offered another instead. Smidge more dosh, wider remit but essentially a sideways move. It still caused me a number of sleepless nights... So the champers is on ice if anyone fancies a virtual slug across the ether...
Hey man - congratulations. I've just took on a new role myself and I know what you mean by sleepness nights. Imagine my face when I hear "your job is to protect our £600 million annual revenue" *gulp* Good luck in your new role. A new challenge is almost as good as a rest or so they say!

On balance with the tax I decided a few year ago to take the cash option and buy what I wanted. I did have an S60 on test with the comms pack...that was really cool! Thanks, all...not the job I really wanted but its a small step and I needed a change. I'm currently quite bored!
Must be something in the water V8 - I have just managed to blag my way into a job quoting and quantity surveying for hundreds of millions of pound jobs!! Its all well and good blagging the interview but as of Monday I have to actually look like I know what I am doing LOL!! HELP!! For the money tho I'll learn ;) x
