well i managed to pluk up the guts to fit my new mbc without the info id of liked but i couldnt wait ,
i pre set the pressure to 12psi and fitted it in about 20 minutes , i just needed an extra length of pipe acouple more jubilee clips and a washer hose t piece .
took it down the road gave it some boot and FECK ME the turbo punched in and lit the tyres up in 1st 2nd and 3rd grabbed 4th and
DOH over boost fuel cut out
took it home and turned it down to 11 psi and its fine now and the boost gauge needle goes just off the gauge and it goes like stink.
if you cant afford rica yet and want more power
GET AN MBC
£ 49 from reliaboost
next day delivery

I can get MBC's cheaper I think, I'll look into it but I think they are about £30/£35, if I can get them I'll post them to peeps if they want them as I goto the stockist quite regular. Doubt postage will be more than a couple of quid. They aren't as shiney as the ones from the likes of reliaboost but do the same job and are reliable, some people have said ones from other companies have failed after time.

in my opinion mate if you set it so as its not boosting too far off the gauge you will be ok its not as if you drive round with it on full boost all the time ,
besides if youve set it too high it will over boost and the engine cuts the fuel for a second and stops you before you kill it ,so JUST DO IT its amazing on a standard t5

Reverse I/C was used by Volvo on the first T5's to come out, but because of frost and snow problems the T5 couldn't handle the cold weather on start up, so they went for the system where it doesn't go striaght over the engine, and routed it around the engine if you look at a standard T5 then look at my I/C pipe you will see the difference,
There's a place in the States that now sells a kit,
REVERSE I/C

here are a few sites you can look at
ARMVAL turbo performance
Joe P MBC manual boost controllers
PRO MAX Reliaboost boost controller
if you wanna beat your brother once youve fitted it , set it as high as you can without overboost and try racing him once your both moving other wise youl just light up the tyres in 1st (as if they dont anyway) but beleive me you wont believe the difference it makes
i manually pre set mine with a foot pump to 12 psi but had to turn it down to 11 psi
My mrs came back from town in it today (1st time shed driven it) and said to me
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE CAR YOU TWAT I NEARLY KILLED MYSELF IN IT ,IT NEARLY LAUNCHED ME IN TO THE BACK OF A TAXI
i dont know what your talking about dear ??

I bought an Armval MBC from Ebay for £24.99 inc del which is the same price as their website. Haven't fitted it yet but it looks a good bit of kit, plain and simple without big knobs and arrows and the words BOOST slapped all over it !
Delivery was damn quick too. Someone should do a fitting guide in the knowledge section.

i've got fitting instructions on my computer (with pics), if you send me your email address i'll send you them. They were written with the help of an old T-5 forum which is why i'm not posting them in public (not sure on what copyright etc are on them)

Silly me ! You've already emailed them to me a while back ! No excuse now, roll on the weekend !

And there is the catch, you cant fit them to ME7 Volvo's. Anything pre 99 should be fine if fitted with care but the ME7 just wont have it I'm afraid :(

anyone know performance figures for these things and won't they cause the mixture to be too lean?
