Possible Brooklands/Merc World meet... Any interest?

Post 530347 by M-R-P on 2012-08-13 13:26:04
Talking to Steve (Dalhousie) on Saturday, he mentioned a jolly to Brooklands and Merc world. It sounded like a pretty good idea. I know he's punting it over on the dark side ;) so I thought I'd gauge some interest with the VPCUK-ers too :)
Any takers?
No dates have been confirmed yet, just looking for possible interest.

if you contact the Brooklands museum & notify that about a group attendance they normally give you special parking up on the banked corner

Having checked the date on my phone, I can confirm that I will be drinking in my local all day.
It is the landlord's 10th year in the pub so we are having a day of it with HogRaost, tug of war across the pond, cakes and all sorts
MBW is a cracking day, you will enjoy it.
:)

Thanks.
Post 537903 by M-R-P on 2012-09-22 23:48:05
The tour may be full but there'll be lots going on - tyre kicking, wandering about the old banked corners, mooching about in the brooklands museum and I'll be detailing Dalhousie's car lol.
Some of us southerners may be meeting somewhere before heading up in convoy, watch this space.
Otherwise, we'll claim a section of the car park and you'll be able to find us there.
All are welcome, the more the merrier mate ;)

I'm not going to have a vehicle on the road by Saturday.

A bit of a detour but it does mean doing fighter jet noises in that hindhead tunnel thingy...

We'll be there from about 1.30, bring +2 instead of +1, but one of them is only 2 so he's small enough we can slip him in under the radar! We're trying to make sure he likes cars as he grows up - he did Beauleiu a few months back, now this ... I'll have to teach him MRP's trick .. "Whats the best car?" "T5" :D

I can't have him say "Daddys T5" unfortunately as his daddy only drives a Focus ST (Mk1 Non-turbo :( )
I'm not sure "Godfathers R" will sound as good :(
Just need to give "ol' Blue" a rinse over Saturday morning and a quick QD if its dry, and I'm ready to go!

& the rest mate. V. J. Mannings CLK GTR Roadster was £1million by itself, then the 4 F1 cars, 4 DTM racers can't be cheap & then the AMG floor
This is the Maybach suit last time i went, that had some money in it (2 Maybach's at the back)

I was thinking more of the cars you can climb inside and play with.. add all the cars in the car park, the race cars, CLK etc I think it would easily touch £20-30Million+ in insurance value.
