as above,i got these from martin peachey a while back but finally fitted it today (to my dads car anyway im yet to do mine) and ive got say....wow....its totally transformed the driving experience,theres alot less throw between gears and it just feels so much more positive and tight!! well i thought id share my findings as ive not seen much on here about quick shift kits,its hard to beleive when looking at it in your hand that its gonna do anything but trust me when its fitted you wont be dissapointed ;)

they do make an excellent difference, drilling the gear-selector arm compliments the short-shift plate very well (don't go closer than 50mm from pivot point)

BT. I'm sure Snabb did a plate for the newer M56 box (they have bigger cable bushes) so still should be able to do it mate

moving the pivot point of the other gearselector arm/cable shortens the side throw of the gearlever. The plate you've done only shortens the forward & back throw

The o2 stuff uses a ball and socket rather than a pin and circlip. This means you have to remove the ball bit from the selector arm and drill it to M10, then fit 100mm bush inside the end of the rod where the socket used to be.
This is very expensive to put back to stock, and the exact reason I didn't do mine. Grrrr.
