how do you get your lights to do this

with mine, I just leave the lights switched on and they do that.

Personally don't like his way of doing it. As noted when you open your door the headlights will come on. His response is that they are on all the time anyway, well they ain't you can turn them off with the small screw at light switch. I personally would chose to design and make a digital system comprising of logic gates, which take their signal from the alarm unit directly. Hence the lights only come on when you unlock the car. Not when the interior lights come on as he has done
