Hi there everyone, can someone point me in the right direction please, I have a problem with my recently acquired v70, basically I'm getting the occational shift flare between 2nd and 3rd only, the revs at worse go up by about 500rpm then it jumps into gear, it's only just started doing it at 114000 miles and doesn't do it all the time, is this bad news or can it be sorted, I've checked the oil level which is fine and is a red colour and doesn't smell burnt at all, secondly, when the car is stationary like when I'm at traffic lights etc the car seems to go into neutral and when I let my foot of the brake pedal it jumps back into gear sometimes its very smooth and other times it's quite harsh, it doesn't matter if the box is cold or hot it makes no difference, I've never had a auto or volvo do this before and I've had quite a few 850s etc, the car is a 2000 w reg by the way, the third problem is when I come to a stop and put the gear leaver back into park from drive the engine revs drop sometimes to the point it almost cuts out, if I'm very gentle and go into neutral first then straight to park it doesn't seem to do it as bad, now this happens much worse when the box is hot, it doesn't do it at all when cold, can you guys please help me head in the right direction, I'm going to do a oil change but what oil should I use and is there anything else I can do to cure it, ive read about the b4 servo cover but what does this do, should I change this first or after oil change, I've spoken to my local Volvo "specialist" who has no idea what a b4 cover is or why it seems to jump out of gear when stationary, what should I do guys.
