Hi Guys!
Ok, went to the out this evening, when we went back to the car, the alarm had been set off (no sound, its disconnected apparently!!)
thought nothing of it, but shortly after i went to fill up as the fuel light was on, but the boot release button did not work, and it won't open the boot either.
the key fob did open the boot a few times, but now that doesn't work either.
Iv managed to hack my way in thanks to a large spanner, so i can fill up at least!
Any ideas whats broken?
I have tried an old boot / fuel cap switch as well, both dont work.
And :)

Similar happened to my C70, but it was the switch and I simply changed it. Could it be a fuse?

If you can get into the boot then you can use the manual release to open the fuel flap.

The fuel cap now opens, but i cant get into the boot still, and it wont open with the key fob either :/

If you use the key in the boot lock it will open the boot

I have spares to repair the fuel flap mechanism.
Have you tried opening & closing the bonnet. Does the fob operate the central locking?

Yeah the fob opens and locks the car fine, what can opening and closing the bonnet do for the boot? lol

I was wondering if your key fob /central locking system was working. Sometimes due to an incorrect closure of the bonnet - the key fob/ CLS stops.

Isn't there a hidden keyhole in the boot lid, near the number plate light, like on some V70s?

There are only 2 methods of getting into the boot of a C70 - using the key - or using the fob. Well as far as I know - & I have done extensive surgery in that area.
If the fuses are ok & the CLS is working the only other thing would be to push down on the lid to ensure that the lock is fully engaged & work it from there.
This may result in the drilling out of that lock & its subsequent replacement.

FIXED!
I replaced the fuse, the original wasnt blown, but the contacts were all crappy, so all is good.
Just need to take the fuel cap off now and bend it back into shape :/ lol!
