Essex Meet, 17th June North Weald

Hi everyone, Seeing as i missed the last Essex meet, and a few of us are going to North Weald Airfield for the sprint on the above date, How about a Mass Vpcuk essex meet on this date at the airfield? Dont feel you have to run your car's more the merrior, just be good for us all to hook up and even take the pee out of me when i Blow engine and box going up the 1/4 mile straight lol http://www.northwealdairfield.org/Campaign/Latest_News/Events/events.html Perhaps drive up in convoy? just spit balling the idea out there. Some days even have a prize for slowest run. :D I've been to loads with mates or just to watch and either had a broken car or not driven so not been able to run (one event wouldn't let me run as it was a Ford day and even though my kit car was Ford based they objected to the Rover V8 despite letting several other fords fitted with Vauxhall redtops run). Fingers crossed mine has no problems between now and then and i'll be having my first go up the strip. Its bog stock apart from the MBC and the airbox being opened up a bit so it wont be spectacular, I'm just interested in what it can do and if I can work out how to get it off the line the best way without melting the clutch. :D

ill be running mine bog standard aswell,its not a competion just aload of enthusiasts ragging the brown stuff out of their cars :D the first ever run i done was in a 1.1 ohv mk3 escort estate!! it run a 22's but i had shed loads of fun doing it,so auto manual who gives a toss your only running for yourself,so bring it along have a little go and see what happens,you never know it might run well you got nowt to lose ;)

Absolutely no excuse as i was off work and at home but im gutted. That was down the road from me (20 miles) and i love a strip day. I confess to having given the speedy swede little attention in the last month and not being on the forum in that time eithrr. All i can say is if you enjoyed it please do it there again soon !
