Hey gang!
Hello from NY :) Just wanted to share my 1999 S70 AWD. I haven't driven it in a few months as I took the engine out for a full reseal and turbo upgrade, so I'm dying to get back behind the wheel again.
Some of the features the UK cars are spec'd up with interest me, and hopefully I can learn more about them here!
I added a dual exhaust from a 2000 V70R:

Is the S70 AWD offered in the UK? Mine isn't AWD anymore, I ripped out the angle gear and rear differential, then added cut wagon springs with nivomats in the back because it sat so high afterwards. The car was purchased without a driveshaft, and everything was leaky, so I just removed it all and saved a good bit of weight, while still keeping the aluminum subframe in the rear.
I love working on it and ensuring every single feature is operational, which takes a lot of work on these, but it's worth it in the end! Hope you guys like it, and I hope I can drive it soon.

All numbers plates spoil the look of cars. Shame they are a legal requirement.

You are probably just the man I need to speak to. I have a question about removing the ME7 exhaust cam sprocket. Perhaps I am being a bit tentative - but once you remove the oil cap on it - How the heck do you get it off?

Ha! I had the same problem. The bolt is extremely tight, I wasn't able to take my sprocket off either. Not even an electric impact gun worked. So, I took the cams off without removing the VVT sprocket.
You'll need something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/380422749039?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I bought that kit, and will be using it once I get my cylinder head back on. When you lock the cams in the head, you'll be able to apply sufficient torque with a breaker bar to get the VVT sprocket off....hopefully!

Great looking car you have there, welcome to the forum :)

In the end I used a screwdriver through the front of the VVT sprocket & broke the bolt with a breaker bar & the T55.
I am frustrated as I don't actually reckon it needs to come off at all, as it doenst restrain the cam cover. HO HUM.

You'll need it off to pop in the cam seal when you put the engine back together :)
