The section on the display that shows the time and the gear number (geartronic) has gone dim. Just that part of the display. Any chance this is an easy repair? V70.

Ours is a 2000 and we are having problems with the display. Missing numbers and odd messages, like "Brake Failure Stop Safely ASAP, 9999 to an Empty Tank and so on.

That will be the DIM failing, speak to Martinpeachey about that one. A dim display is normally the bulbs failed. Random messages that don't make sense is the DIM failing.
