Hi guys and gals,
furthermore to my searching for a V70R, (had a look at a couple, but were not really that great), I came across this one on autotrader.....

I spoke to the dealer and he 'seemed' quite genuine, (they all do when they're trying to flog something...!) although i noticed this car had been sitting since January and the price has dropped by a bit....
Question is...... has anyone on here seen the vehicle/went to have a look at it or previously owned it....???

That on the surface of it looks a nice car and not many with 67k on them,(my mrs wants it lol) but not for 3.5k, if you can get it for under 3k and some warrenty happy day's :)

The dealer said he would give it a year's Mot depending if it sold, and 3 months warranty.
When i questioned him regarding the history of the vehicle, he said the last owner had it for around 7 years and it roughly done 3K per year and was serviced religiously, which made me wonder if it might have belonged to someone on here.
To be honest regarding the price of the vehicle, yeah it is a little much for the year, but if it is as clean as it looks, then it might be worth a punt.

If i was you i would take it to an independent MOT station and get them to give it a proper going over for the mot and if your happy offer 3k he's a dealer after all and thats cash he could probably do with, its a good colour with the right interior imho, make sure the warranty to cover's the g/b.

If that's the car I think it is then its a minter and yes the guy was very very particular about it!! I'd need to know the reg to confirm that but if it is the car I'm thinking it is then its as new and well well worth the cash being asked for it!!

Well after having the registration I can definately confirm it's the car I thought it was...
I haven't seen it for about 2 years but it looks as good in the shots as it did then, it used to belong to a guy called Gary who used to go to the VOC meets I used to go to. He was seriously more than just particular about it. If it was me I'd be putting a holding deposit on that car now! It is a very late pre ME7 2wd V70R and I'd go as far as to say the best one I have ever seen!

No problem! I am really surprised he sold it as I know he loved it so much, the green 855R you can see parked next to it belonged to his brother and that was also a very very tidy and low mileage car..

Really hope this isnt a daft question, but, did you know of any problems with the car....???
Or did your mate keep on top of things mechanically...?

I'm not aware of anything but tbh it has been 2 years since I last was at one of those meets to see the car. Obviously a lot can happen in 2 years but tbh it had only done 64,000 ish miles then so I can't imagine it would want for much...
The username on the VOC of the guy who used to own it is JD.7 and he was last online on the 14th, perhaps it might be worth asking him. I'd certainly be interested to find out what caused him to sell and what he has now, although he wasn't really a mate just a guy who had a lovely car and turned up at the odd meet I went to ;)

Well, taken the plunge and put a holding deposit down on it........
Going to see the car on Wednesday.....
Only good thing is i'll be travelling from Glasgow, not Thurso, so journey time will be shortened by a bit..!! lol...!
Still gonna be a 7hr journey back to Glasgow at warp 9 if i take it...!!, 12hrs to Thurso...!
