What are they like ( about a 2003 model) ? I think they have the same engine as the carrera ?
Anyway, followed one back from Devon as he was being undertaken ( as I was) by some Prat in a Golf GTI with a silly zorst. Anyway, the Porsche was in front, then me, then the Golf. The traffic clears and he floors it....and I follow......oh dear, he pulls a couple of car lengths, but basically I'm still close behind him. What was funny for me is that my car was loaded to the gills...without the weight, I definately would have matched him. He must have been miffed not to be able to shake a full Volvo.....
The Golf was miles away...literally!
I know I'm childish and I'm sure he could lose me on the twisty's, but on the day he couldn't outpace a family estate!!
I do love it! I couldn't stop smiling!
Sorry Porsche lovers, but I really don't like them.

Do you mean the Porsche owners or the cars?

My dad has a 996 Carrera 4 and i can confirm they are quick, balanced, sound awesome and are a pleasure to own / be in etc.
however on the motorway is not where they live, and a mapped T5 can easily play along with one. I myslef have tackled a Carrera 4S and just squeezed past 4 up when i had my RICA'd auto ;)
Good kill [sort of] ;)

The cars....no ill will to anyone!
Just don't do it for me, although I understand they float other people's boats...

my nextdoor neighbour has got a L-reg 911 convertable (all i know about it) & it really doesn't look quick when he races away from the house, i keep trying to leave at the same time just to see how we match but not managed it yet
