thought i would sign up here seems the place to be for people who have passion for volvo's in the UK!, i currently own an early 850glt 2.5 20v and a v70r engine on a quest for power! before anyone says yes it would be easier to start with a t5 but where's the fun in the and besides it is my actual grandads car :D. ill post some pictures up and start a build thread soon. thanks for wasting precious minutes of your life reading this!

well yeah but with the ecu with it has slightly higher power? dont matter anyway no intentions on keeping it standard!

Post 415534 by sundog on 2011-10-09 19:15:46
well yeah but with the ecu with it has slightly higher power? dont matter anyway no intentions on keeping it standard!
its not the ecu that makes it more powerful its the larger turbo mate that the v70r has
its not the ecu that makes it more powerful its the larger turbo mate that the v70r has
Probably a bit of both, hardware alone without required mapping usually doesn't have the same effect
Probably a bit of both, hardware alone without required mapping usually doesn't have the same effect
no mate still 10 psi on a v70r producing 250bhp with an 18t, or 240bhp at 10psi with a 16t, the t5 with 225bhp has a a boost increase of 1.3psi to make the t5-r with 240bhp with a 15g
