Morning chaps, Not sure where to put this thread so will go here...lol Anyway.. Might have a chance on a very sexy V reg C70 T5 Hard roof, 78k on the clock, CAT D damage, looks amazing in black. Very light side wing damage which will repair, no damage anywhere else i can see. But should i swap my 850T5 for the C70? Its a manual, my 850s a Auto, - C70's modern, 850's a CLASSIC, arrrrrr not sure what to do. Down side is, i cant view the C70 as its through my salvage site, i know it starts, drives, looks well. it is what it is! also it could be like £400 ish..so cheap and worth the risk in my eyes, but will i regret sell the 850 for it Come on guys help me out! tell me i will regret it or love it!

tough call, I'd borrow 400 quid off someone and sorn it till I decided to keep or sell it. The 70 is a very pretty car, especially in black. I understand your dilemma. ;)

Is this the one? Only 70K miles & it looks quite tidy, I bet it doesn't bring more than £500 & for that money I'd get it bought....

There's gotta be more wrong with it than that! that's no reason to scrap a perfectly good car, Hell, my mum's last 5 cars have been worse than that when she bought them! Buy it dude, before someone else does and you spend the next 6 months kicking yourself in the @rse!

Cars do get written off for almost nothing these days & it's only a CAT D.....but obviously there could be more damage than what the piccies show. Perhaps wishbones etc, but all pretty cheap to replace & also the perfect excuse to get the front end all polybushed up. I know the power steering rack brackets were prone to cracking on these too.

I'd stick with the 850 T5 mine was the only car I've ever regretted selling :(

as much as i like c70`s dont think i would swap my 850 for one so keep it mate as yours is a nice example with low miles.

If your car was an R then i'd say a definate no as the R's will be genuine classics if they aren't already, but as yours is a T5 i'd say it's definitely worth a punt. As for the C70's, they have a more modern interior which is nice and they look lovely in black. Do what Martin said and sorn yours, borrow the cash, and if the C70 is a genuine bargain flog the 850 =) I have driven a couple of C70 T5's and liked them both.
