Nurburgring Video...

Just got the video of my time at the Nurburgring, including my lap! Its fab and Steve did a great job of keeping things steady....my running commentary is a bit dull and the music on the Stereo is probably not to everyones taste, but I'm so chuffed! To me its like Volvo porn... Anyway, just waiting for the DVD copy now.... Is anyone interested in seeing it ? If so, I thought of a "round robin" system where we create a list ( that people can keep adding to) and I send a copy to the first person, who sends in on to the next. To keep it fair, we set a max time to have it, say 3 days... Anyone interested ? Alternative is to get someone to convert and host it and allow downloads.... Comments ?

Depends on the music, really. Are we talking something Stig-style or is it more boy band fever? Regards, Steve PS last time I was there (years ago, now) the local radio stations were highly amusing. I would recommend that as the soundtrack for your next hot lap.

Don't have the DVD yet, so I'm just ahead of myself. Lance - You are close enough to drop round if you want....

how about someone hosting it on emule? I don't mind doing it. Andy.

The local accordion music is just what you need to dip under the 11 minute barrier. Just remember turn it up to eleven and you will be REALLY focussed on getting back to the pits as quick as poss. Regards, Steve
how about someone hosting it on emule? I don't mind doing it. Andy.
I'm still waiting for the DVD, but I think that's a much better idea ( I was just waiting for someone to offer ). I'm just back from hols so I'll chase my mate, else I'm going to buy a DVD recorder and burn it myself!!! I'll keep you posted! Please also note the Metal music was not to inspire a better time, just my sad music taste! At least it wasn't "Bat out of hell"!!

Got fed up with waiting for my mate to do me a DVD, Saturday went and bought a super DVD recorder....fab! So, now have dvd copy if anyone is interested ? BagR - Could you still sort out hosting it as that would be preferable. I'm not sure I do want it on general release though..... TDS - you may want to borrow to learn the correct lines ( Joke!)

Was your driving anything like this or better? M3 GTR :B_steerin

Post 41112 by V8guitar on 2005-08-31 16:59:50

Mine was far superior, obviously!! Note that is on the GP circuit, not the Nordshielfe ( or however you spell it ). The GP circuit is for girls! I've also got a DVD of a Skyline around the ring driven by Dirk Skoysman....that is fast! on the sections I am doing around 100-120 mph, he is doing 160-180!! You should see the speed the needle flys round from 100 to 140....mad! If it copies, I'll try to include it!

Looked to me as if he did a couple of laps of the GP circuit, then switched to the Nordschleif. Am I wrong? Terrifying anyway; think I've changed my mind. :sinner:

For my sins i am prepared to organise a Nurburgring Trip around Easter Time 2006 if all goes to plan. To make it worthwhile it's worth going Thursday to Monday and make a little break of it, so watch this space. I'm thinking a night in Amsterdam for you kinky buggers too, eh Moppy!

I've ran more holidays than i've had hot dinners, but any help, advice appreciated.

Value or what! I will definately be going again and I'm up for next Easter.... Perhaps you guys need to see the video first...my worthless driving might put you off!

Such an experience ( sorry can't stop going on about it! ). If you are a petrolhead, you owe it to yourself to go. It was an ambition of mine for years and stupid thing is, its not difficult to sort out and relatively cheap to get there!
