my other halfs fiesta 1.4zetec 03 plate has started to leak a clear tasteless water from the seam on the rear of the back box when you park the car up and go back after half hour or so there is quite a large puddle underneath,the car is not loosing coolant or overheating is it a knackered backbox? didnt know they held that much water

the car needs to go for a couple of long runs, let the exhaust get hot and steam off all the water

Condensation collection as a result of the exhaust heat cycling. The short runs aren't helping and the chances are that it's started to rot the box from the inside out to the point that it's starting to leak which is why you've started to notice it. On short runs the exhaust system doesn't get hot enough to dry it out so it just sits there. Car needs a run to dry the system out although if the box has started to leak it's probably on borrowed time now and drying it out would be pointless, but always worth a try.
give it a good thrashing on a nice long run. As said the water is too many short runs and condensation in the silencer.

Im joking as Im sure you know, but asyour a meat head door man i thought id better make that clear lol. Yup short runs.. exhaust full of water ( dont drink to much, its about as toxic as water gets) good blast and it should dry out ( or just leave it running on the drive if you dont want to drive it) get the zaust hot and it will dry out.. then it will start blowing !

Just thought I would hop in and say the same thing, short runs etc. Shame they won't let you drill holes all the way along the bottom of the box to let the water out :)
