Guaging interest on a saffron v70r awd manual

Might have to sell the car to fund the bike racing so just seeing what the interest would be for mine its
1998 saffron v70r awd manual 131,000 miles
just rebuilt the engine about 1000miles ago all new shells, oil pump, water pump, seals gaskets etc
polished and ported head
rica 320 chip
mbc running at 1.6 bar
forge dump valve and blanking plate
boost gauage
new clutch
new pads and discs all round
k&n air filter
had new rear diff fitted cause of a whine which turned out to be the prop center bearing which was replaced.
All parts from readview#
dark interier
2 spare heads
new o/s/r rear caliper fit last week
7 seat converson
bodywork is in good order but not perfect
twin rear exit exhaust
gen volvo removeable towbar just fitted
all bills and receipts
very slight tapping from lifters not got round to sorting then but drives great
looking for about £2500.
heard there was only 65 saffron v70r awd manuals brought to the uk but could be wrong
Dont want to see it go but racing comes first

Price seems about right, get some pics up to help. Sure theres a couple people on here looking for S/V70R's.
You've got the mbc set pretty high. lol 1.6 is about 22psi.
PS i always find its best to have people pm you for your number, just so its not on the net where anyone can see it.

will do, will have to remove the pics from the newbie section. got the mbc so hi cause the car can take it no probs and it goes like a train, spins all 4wheels when it boosts. lol really doont want it to go but needs must

22psi... My sensitive Monkey ears can hear the rods bending and groaning from here :) Still must go like a cat on ketamine with a red hot poker up it's bum

no the rods were all fine cheers lol like brand new same as the bores. i think a bit of **** got in the oil pump and scored the mains, not through power. it had a recon engine in at 99thou and i think inferia parts were fitted, but had been rebuilt by myself with good stuff. the cars can handle the boost as long as u have the correct fuel and air mix to keep everything cool

Been told and read on another volvo performance forum the rods can handle up to 2 bar then forged competition ones are need

Nope...not yet anyway lol.
I reconnected my BCS wrongly (doh!) after taking MBC off at an 1/8th mile event recently and was boosting to 1.7-1.8 bar at 3/4 throttle; had a slight panic attack, backed off and lost a race as a result. Rods absolutely fine after a second go at that boost level ;) chickened out after, put the mbc back on and stayed at a sensible 1.2 bar.
Have to say that the extra boost was bloody fantastic, highly addictive and turned the Olive Shed into a total animal; no idea what the torque figure was, deffo loads more than my usual 425nm :D :D big grin!
If I had the spare cash for an engine rebuild, I'd keep pushing it until it went bang, just to see how much is achievable and for how long lol

we shall see, i haven't raced for a few years so i'm out of practise so got to do a few secret test runs first. BT's changed so much i've no idea what times she'll run, as for phase 2 (which you know about) anythings possible lol
