Hi everyone,
Found this site by chance whilst looking for some subtle mods for my recently purchased 'N' reg 850 t5 saloon. Have to say it rocks!!!
Was tossing up between selling my beloved mint BRG 1975 spitfire for another mitsubishi FTO or a 200 bhp TR6.
Then the baby came along and those plans had to be scraped, but as they say every cloud has a silver lining and mine was deciding on a T5 as a 'Family Car'. (well it is at the weekends).
Space,comfort and plenty of guts!!
I've rattled on enough already, just wanted to say hi and thanks for a fab site. Catch you on the flip-flop. Mark. (Shrewsbury, Shropshire).

Another refugee from the creakey British sportscar camp. Good stuff.
I learned to drive in my dad's Triumph. So what do you think about the contrast between 1970's BL thinking on passive safety ("just stick 1/4 inch of foam padding on the dash and that'll be alright") versus modern Volvo. Strangely enough I dwell on this a bit more now the kids have come along....
Anyway please DON'T talk about the mods. I haven't picked mine up yet and I must resist edging my toes onto the slippery slope. This resistance is something I have failed to do with any vehicle that I've owned to date, so help me out here!

Haven't even picked the damn thing up yet. Hey, wait though, if I have it remapped on the way home from collecting it my wife will never suspect a thing because she will have no frame of reference to compare to.

If it will shut you all up I will move over to the Modifications page and ask a few harmless and not-particularly-leading-to-anything questions about the relative merits of some tuning options.
