...from 3 days at the local dealer! Sent it in to have: 1) fan heater fixed 2) Tracking 3) Geartronic upgrade - see V forum for thread update 4) Oil change ready for Nurburgring After a mistake on the bill, £1043 was reduced to £700. Blumin lummy! That hurt....This kind of cost always makes me reconsider my volvo. Most bits I will go elsewhere from the main dealer, but as my dash had to come off etc. dodn't want to risk an independant - although should have asked VT....we live and learn!! I hope VT are gentle tommorrow as they swap my plugs and possibly replace pads and discs! Anyway, whilst my car was at the dealer, they leant me a regular V70 2.4. Anyone driven one ? I pulled away and thought, "hey, this is quite swift" but after 50 mph, the ratio of noise to pace changes and it seemed pretty slow....such a drastic change to my T5...obvious I know, but nice to be reminded!! Maybe the pokey acceleration was down to the regular auto compared to my geartronic. SO anyone who even considers a 2.4.......stay T5, otherwise you will be very disappointed!!

2.4 170bhp's arent bad but are purely smooth and dont have any kick!

VT were gentle with me and I now have upgraded pads and new discs at a resonable price...thanks Chaps! Time to forget about the cost now, but lots of money in 2 days.... Yeah, the 2.4 definately had no kick. Its good to drive a slower car for a bit as you get to re-discover your car again.
