Hi guys, long time no see!
Right cut to the chase.
I work as a rural postman and one of my customers who i have known for 6 years has bought a new XC70 and they have their old one to sell, they asked me if i was interested and i told the seller that i was for the Mother in Law and made them an offer which they accepted, now the Mother in Law has said she's not sure asthey still have their Grand Cherokee that they would have to sell after ive commited to buy!.
Im not out to make stupid money out of this car but the spec is as follows :-
3 previous owners, however they have owned the car since 2002, the owner is an elderley QC!.
118,000 miles,
Full Volvo Service History
2.4T5 Auto.
Cambelt was done at 85000 miles.
The MOT runs out 9th August and it has always been serviced and MOT at the same time at the Volvo main dealer, i think the last service was at 109,000 miles.
I will have more info when i collect the car on Saturday morning but its a genuine car that has been maintained at a main dealer and run for the last 8 years by the same elderly owner.
I want 2500 for the car, no offers, you will not find another one for sale anywhere near this price....

Car is in East Sussex.

I've been thinking non-stop about this XC70. Hopefully, Phil will buy it at that will make my decision for me.
It is patently clear sense that I should buy it if Phil doesn't. You are just down the road, offering a tidy, known-to-you car at a solid price. Sadly, to my great shame, I cannot suppress my lust for a V70 R. Why I am drawn to a temperamental and costly car, from a probably unknown seller, I just cannot say. Perhaps I anticipate great pride in owning such fine and exclusive engineering on those days when it drives without issues.
I wanted to reply in the thread rather than via PM, so others can see they are in with a chance after Phil.
Offering me second dibs was a great gesture and I appreciate it very much, and perhaps in days to come I will regret my decision!
