...I am in love. Seen one before, but not on the road and last night I past one. On the raod its looked beautiful, almost mesmerising!! Incredible! To my delight, he pulled out behind and a few miles down the road, he gunned it past me. I caught him up and followed him for about 20 miles on the A42/M1, and everytime a clear stretch came, he gave it some. Most times he pulled a couple of car lengths and then had to slow down but one time, he had a better run and absolutely flattened me!! And the noise.....wow!! Sorry, you can keep your porsche's, ferrari's and Lambo's.....Aston always has been a favourite but last night I met the car of my dreams! Best bit, He wasn't a kn*b....very curtious and considerate!

I am going into their factory on Monday to troubleshoot a paint/equipment problem they have. I will bring you a DB9 out in my toolbox if you like. Just out of interest, I am in Lotus doing the same on July 2

The manual one is definately the best choice but wont be the most popular choice unfortunately, Aston only claim its minorly quicker but the fact the box is something like 60kg's less in weight and the gear ratios are better suited to the car it will be a good bit faster! Saw the new AMV8 on the road the other day in black and ive got to say it looks better still!

saw ford, sorry aston martin, vanquish outside work one night and me an my mate stood like two schoolkids waitin on the (tweed jacketed) owner to come out of the nearby paper shop so we could hear the engine!! the owner casually jumped in and im sure for our benefit booted it up the road...the noise ALMOST made up for feelin like a couple of sad trainspotters!!...when we brits get it right, NOTHIN else comes close

I wouldnt exactly call Aston Ford, just like people saying the new S40 is a focus.

WARNING...these people WILL dilute your heritage...tongue was firmly in cheek, however as i recall, the ford granada indicator stalks/warning lights used to particularly jar in the otherwise bespoke hand made interior of the original db7? let the big boys play wi yer toys and they WILL spoil/break them eventually...see audi murcielago or vw continental for details, great cars for sure but the more of their own content the big makers put into their specialist divisions, the more they take away the raw identity of the original product
