Hey fellas....
I dropped my 850 AWD off with Russ in December; due to some parts having to come from Sweden (damned rear silencer!!) he's still sat there..and my Missus mk3 Golf GTi just ain't doing it for me!!
Weathers been really bad (I know..we're not the only ones!), but I'd have been MUCH happier with the 850; put the snow chains on, work would've been no problem!
I can't wait to get him home...

Dude, I feel for ya. My dad currently has a courtesy car (an 08 plate automatic corsa, yuck!) after an accident before christmas, and he's missing his AWD too. Should be getting it back on Friday with a brand new door from Volvo.

Did you try ringing Rufe, see if he could source back box for you? I would have assumed it was a fairly standard stock item, or are you going custom?

E-mail Rufe first so that he can sort out the details. You'll need the VIN number, year and model to help him find the part.
Just send him a PM from the here and away you go.

Thanks for the suggestions/ comments, guys..
T'was all sorted over the snowy weather; the backbox obviously arrived (thanks Rufe ;D) and it's only been a few late additions to the list that have now kept him back after school..did you know Volvo changed the tailpipe at some point? A new one is duly being fitted; I'm also expecting the handbrake lever to regain some function...tbh it became this reflex action, but wouldn't have held a pushchair...
Russ mailed me to let me know that, barring a fresh MOT and a few miles, the car's about done...should be picking him up soon :D
I'll post the de-brief soon, with costs.

They changed the tailpipe on the AWD?
I know the AWD has a different exhaust system, and the tailpipe is the right (and its an S shape)

I look forward to seeing a breakdown of those costs, make sure that the bill is fully itemised and a statement as to the manufacturer/ supplier of the parts fitted is included, many thanks :)
