According to forums the 1996 model seems to be prone to a speedo fault. My speedo doesn't work and it does not appear to be due to mechanical failure. Are there any dealers out there that are suitably qualified to deal with the problem (some threads have suggested problems with the abs sensors etc).
Do you have any other unrelated problems?... sometime it can be the ignition switch, try turning the key back slightly once the car is started.
No other problems - that's why the speedo issue is bugging me. I'll try what you have suggested - thanks for the info.
I had issues with the speedo once in my V70 when i had a battery that was about to pack up
May sound a bit obvious but have you checked the plugs onto the abs ecu :confused:
