Well after 12 months of Volvo free motoring i cant take it any more, i must buy another one.
This is where i need your advice am torn between an 03/04 S60/V70R or a newer S60/V70 T5?
What im asking is there much difference between things like servicing costs, parts like discs/pads etc..
Performance wise there seems to be a big difference between manual and auto with the manual T5 seeming as quick as an auto R is this right?
There seems to be alot of wizardry with the R, Haldex clutch,three suspension settings etc.. am i asking for trouble with all this extra kit or are the R's as reliable as the T5?
Your views and any other input is really appreciated,

From most views on here that I have read, the standard T5's have less bits that can/will go wrong, the suspension system is a big benefit, however it's costly to fix & the AWD system can be prone to issues with the angle gear.
The T5 engine is more tunable, especially the 2004 onwards models (260bhp standard) and as they are fwd they tend to be cheaper on the rubber too.
This is all just based on what I've read myself, but I personally have a 2001 V70 T5 geartronic & I have to say that it's a nice car to own.
You may also consider the insurance costs between the two.
You may get similar advice as the biggest mentions of "R"'s on here are usually bits on them going wrong, but that's the point of the forums! Help with problems.

Go for the T5. The R will just break in a zillion expensive ways. :)
