And so what's been done to my ride in the mean time(maybe of interest for someone) 1-New triangels(meyle):firedevil Image 2-New keyless system(to replace the "wonderfull"guard system):shhh: Image 3-New coolant hoses(silicone)peepo Image And here is the view in the engine bay::bow_kneel Image So what's next? Been in contact with D2-Racing,and they're going to make coilovers for my car,now not available(but in the near future......):band: Hope the volvo bunch likes it so far, walter

As said in a previous post, contacted D2-Racing and asked them if they could make coilovers for my car. They send me a pic to show how it's going to look,enjoy::smileypul Image Also ordered a catch tank(D1-spec)should arrive soon::hail: Image It seems like the grey one gets a bit of tlc.

Hi Walter, suspension's looking very nice. Be interested to hear how the ride quality changes, I keep wondering if coilovers are a sensible option for me. What are the Meyle triangles? I didn't understand. Is it another name for the wishbone arms? Cheers, Pete

All looks great Walter! Makes me feel quite ashamed that my engine bay doesn't look that tidy! Nice mods on the way :)

So there is a new development in the project(new addition),I ordered(while still waiting for the rest) a new frontbumper(VST):wave23d: Should arrive in the next week or so,coming from Japan. :wtf: Image

There is an American company making coilovers in the same shape as those with the adjustable top plates also. A full kit come in at around £1200 the last time I looked when the pound was poor.

Post 238892 by v70torslanda on 2009-06-30 19:48:22

OK. Maybe you explained this already but what are the 'triangles'? Cos they look like brake-disc-sized boxes to me. . .

Well something bad happened today, just got an e-mail from D2-Racing in wich they said, they don't want to make the coilovers afterall  since the market is too small(for designing a new set, since there wasn't one for the 850)according to them it isn't worth the husttle:mad111: So now i'm looking for something else, any ideas anyone?:shifty:(i know KW does them, but want something else) gr,walter
Actualy, that first one you where interested in looks like it's just an add on piece that bolts/attaches to the bottom of the existing bumper, that would be a doddle to make.
Well get cracking then,lol.

Last week there landed one stone too many on the windscreen, result a big crack.:worried: So called a window replacer and just fitted it(189 euros) Don't mind the tape ,it's just in. Image Walter

At least it was the windscreen and not the bonnet or the grill. A large dent in bonnet can be more costly. By the way she's looking really good. Now I'm off to sulk in a corner.
