Hi There, I Work In A Club In Manchester.Used To Work In 3 Clubs Many Years Ago,Then Went Back To Truck Driving.Gave That Up And Went Back Dj-ing. The Best Advice I Can Give You Is Use A Lap Top And An External Hard Drive,It Is A Lot Easier To Carry Than Cd Boxs Cd Players Or Turntables And Records Plus Mixer. You Need A Secondary Sound Card So You Can Que Your Next Track. They Are Available From Maplins. The Programme That Is Easiest To Use Is 'Tracktor Dj' That Will Automaticaly Beat Mix The Tracks For You. If You Want To Do Your Own Remixes At Home To Play At Your Gigs The Best Programmes To Use Are Ableton Live 7.Or Sony 'Acid Pro'.These Programmes Are No Good For 'Live' Dj-ing But Good For 'Mash-Ups' If You Want To Do Video Mixes Then You Need A Programme Called 'Resolme'. Good Luck

What sort of stuff do u play Matt? If u r a psytrance/prog house DJ I can put u in touch with a mate of mine who plays at Tribe of Frog/ Toadstool and a few other club nights in the southwest. He played at Offworld and Glade last year too. PM me if u want any more details. You'd need a good quality demo if ur interested. Cheers, Jerry
