I'm quite happy with that. Originally I thought I'd wrecked the diff. (big panic) It was with much relief that I discovered it was only the long drive shaft. I can change the long drive shaft in an hour and a half.
So long as you have a spare or can get a cheap one! Diff would have been worse - so that's a result :)
Breakers are usually a good source. (normally between £50 and £75) Just need to make sure that it's exactly the same one. the ones with the 3 dimples in the middle CV joint don't fit. The middle CV joint needs to be round and tapered on the outer casing.
Well, hope you get it sorted soon and with minimal cost... but cool breakage in any case :D
Is it more poor eyesight or does that end look bent as well? have you got a pic of the driveshaft part you need in one piece obviously lol,, as i can keep a eye out for you, Gary

Readview is where that one came from. ..LOL It came off a perfectly good car. I saw it removed. The one before it went in the middle CV joint, (my fault) and the one before that went at the outer CV joint. Adam doesn't usually have the correct ones. He has loads of the ones with the dimples in the middle CV, but they are a different length. (maybe from auto boxes) I will give him a call though.
