MY2000 V70R AWD(265bhp)Laser Blue.

Hey Guys, Due to wife losing job am having to sell my pride and joy MY2000 V70R AWD, its the 265bhp model and in the best colour(in my opinion)Laser Blue. She is totally standard apart from the Volvo Strut Brace. The mileage is 100k backed up by full service history both Volvo and recently DPA Nottingham. Apart from a tiny dink and surface scratches on rear bumper from loading she is in near mint condition for her age. Recently I have replaced both drop-links, top engine mount and have replaced the downpipe and cat with a new stainless one, this still has about 20 months warranty left. Both oxygen sensors were replaced as well. I have the old cat as I was planning to get the cat cut out new flanges put on and buy a race cat. The front discs and pads were replaced 2 weeks ago with Mintex and I have rear discs and pads waiting to go on the rear. She is due a service and ATF change so am asking for £3750 as is or i will service her and get the ATF changed for £4000. Have put both prices up as i know most of you are pretty handy with the spanners and can probably change the oil/filters and do an ATF change for less than the £250 it will cost me. £4k????? Nice car but reality check needed - this money buys a very tidy V70 T5 newer shape which is by far the better car. In a couple of years these old V70 (and my 850) are going to be simply scrap value such will be the price of better cars coming down in price hard.

i think it all depends on which model you want. i prefer my 850 to the newer models. the build quality in my opinion is better. and i prefer the slab dash. just my opinion. as for being scrap i think a decent car will always fetch decent money.

Just to let everyone know car is now sold. Yes for asking price. With only 20 odd of these left in the country and not many in as new standard form, not feckled with or the ass thrashed out of it i guess my asking price was realistic and that was what the buyer thought aswell. My first Volvo, a 265 estate, lived with me for 9 years before it rusted to death, my second, a 760GLE estate, for 13 years and is still going strong.....So a couple of hundred pounds here or there makes negligible difference to the overall depreciation. In any case, an unusual car which exudes TLC doesn't have a classification in Parkers guide.
