I may be thinking of passing it along :( i think prices may be slightly better now that petrol prices are getting to below 90p p/l ;) times are hard, and i am going to get something smaller :( just looking for an approx value, x reg 2000 model , manual, full black leather mot till march 2009,,some tax...108k approx, i have put approx 4k on her in 18 months or so, last service was done at 105, and cambelt at 94-95k it does need the etm swapping out, which is £300 i believe at main stealers, which i will have to do before sale, as it makes it a bit lumpy below 1500 rpm apart from that its all good, couple of minor car park dings any ideas guys & gals Image cheers

I bought mine March 08 for £3500 on a w plate with 127k SE spec probably worth £2500, I recon if you sort the etm you could ask £3k and get somewhere close

cheers guys... i think wisebuyers live in a different world to be honest...they seem to be quoting ebay prices...:D i had a quick auto trader looky and lance's seems closer the mark, apart from the etm fault which sometimes makes revs lumpy just above idle i have no quarms with this car,,i just think i need something a bit smaller..maybe even a t4 still undecided at the moment cheers Nev

Did a similar exercise with my 2002 T5 SE - £1795. Think I'll keep it until it drops...

The early phase 2 T5 can be had fairly cheaply of late. The ones on autotrader can be the fr weeks on end and after that they are just removed from their site by the owner through non sales. Look at the prices of the S60r lately. You can have one for under £6K. Nobody seems to want larger cars at the moment and I don't think, going by all the crap in the press about streched finances and recession, that any changes will be on the horizon for a while yet. I looked at a gorgeous Phase 2 V70 T5 about three weeks ago just out of curiosity really but was really tempted at £2000 with 100k on the clock but I would have been in a situation where I reckon my 855 T5 would have been hard to sell for what I think was worth. Good luck though should you come to sell as going by a few friends selling their cars you will need it. It may be worth advertising on all the forum sites though just to gauge interest and see if more people would be interested from an entusiasts point of view aswell.
