Just wondered if anyone else has this phone and if they have had any problems with it? Im having to send my back for the second time now as it keeps freezin and switchin off and I have to take the battery out to get it working again. I knew I should not of gone with Sony Ericsson had problems when I had a K800i went through 5 of them in 6 months before they would send me a different phone.

I've got a K800i now, and Ive had it 12months without any issues at all. It's been a great phone, as was my old K850i. I must of been one of the lucky ones, although my nipples have been dodgey in the past..........hasnt everyones though :D

A lot of the newer Sony phones are problematic - I'm still using a k600i which is rock solid, even though it's well over two years old (maybe three now?).

I have been searching mobile phone forums this morning on this exact same subject! I have a K850i as I wanted a good camera. Mine is freezing more and more often - sometimes you can't answer an incoming call it's that bad. I'm going back to Nokia - easy to use and reliable. I fancied a SE C902 but this one has put me off. Good camera or not - it would be nice to either answer or end a call without the phone jamming!

Ive had a Sony Erricson W850i for 3 years now and its a brilliant little thing, ive just recently upgraded to an LG Viewty, i wish i hadnt its crap compared to the W850i, i think i'll be sellin it on and keepiny the Sony. I too must be one of the lucky ones then when it comes to the Erricsons, i have never had any sort of problem at all.

My other half has a W890 & hasnt had any issues so far. I believe the W890 shares the same firmware as the 800 & 850 & SE are working on updates to resolve any issues. If you are able to wangle a different phone,i would highly recommend the W960i 8gb jobbie as its an awesome phone ;) Check here for SE info etc http://www.esato.com/

If you go to the sony ericsson website, there's a downloadable softwear updater, very easy to use & will "reflash" the phone, SAVE EVERYTHING!! diary, phonebook, themes, games, all the stuff on the PHONES MEMORY (memory cards need not apply! tho save all your stuff to it as it's quicker!) If the phone is older than say... 5 months, there's usually an updated version of its own softwear. Re-flash, re-load, re-use!

I am Googling 'K850 firmware update'. See what happens.
