Dont know about anyone else but im sick of this rain, seems like everyday I get soaked walking to and from work, plus suddenly everyone cant drive properly cus its raining and the journey takes twice as long. Not a happy bunny today lol :rant:
I know what you mean! Seems like I've been suffering from SAD all year! I have just bought a C70 Convertible, only had top down for 10 mins so far and not been out on me bike since one evening in May and that was only for 30 mins. Now I can't justify keeping bike so it's up for sale. All this means more depression!

Your right it is bad here but it could be worse. Hurricanes Fay,Gustav, Hannah and now Ike are belting South America/Cuba. And to make matters worse, my works very own Victor Meldrew was due to fly out to Cuba on his £3K holiday when Gustav was due to hit 2 weeks ago. We are not looking forward to him coming back to work and everyone has been warned NOT to ask him about his holiday.
i think the best couple of weeks weather we had was in May, and those two weeks i was away in Spain lol... the irony.

It always rains in Manchester when I go there. Sometimes I can even see the cloud waiting for me as I'm approaching on the M56.

Adam @ Readview you have a PM matey. On the weather sometimes i wonder why i moved fron Bonnie Scotland to Manchester, its seems to rain more here. At least its a tad Warmer though!
I love this weather, I like the rain and the wind :) I hate hot summers and a hot sunny day for me is irritating but I like sunny winter and spring days. People think I'm odd but when it comes down to it who here is happiest with the weather most of the year? Long live the clouds, long may they rain :) ps I am being serious!

But ur right it is warmer than Scotland can be, i remember stayin in a caravan one Oct in Edinburgh and it was freezin and there was a storm thought caravan was goin to take off lol lovely place tho Scotland :)

Am in Alicante in Spain and from Glasgow it used just short of £300 on a 1200 mile run which a thought wasnt too bad lol :D

Flights could cost you that, and you've had more fun getting there! How long did it take??? Ive often thought of driving to the South of France or Spain in the C70 :D
To be fair mate I cheated and got the Plymouth - Sandanter boat which again wasnt to bad if you think about it. Yes the boat was £700 but there is 2 of us, the truck, return journey, takes 1400 miles off the journey and we also get a day and nights break to split the journey up each way. To drive through France we would have needed 2 nights B+B each way, 700 miles extra driving each way, 700 miles fuel each way so I think we did the right thing. It works out about the same. Its an expensive holiday as its cost us £1400 in travelling alone where we could have flown for £150 max each. But the road trip, having my own car here to go where I like when I like, the fact of what it is, I mean, It gets attention at home but nothing like it does here. Its a 3 week holiday, were at my parents house so its free while here. I never want to fly again, this way is the only way to travel here I think, YOU NEED TO DO IT GET SAVING ;) Oh and sorry for Hi-Jacking this thread :P

when we got our 940 in 1997 we drove through france and spain as a family of 5 stopping at different places all the way. Think we did a week driving down, a week in Sotogrande and a week driving back. Was a great holiday. Dave
