some of you may remember me , 2 years ago i went to the dark side and sold my old 850 t5 and baught an audi s4 now that i dont regret but today while getting my truck mot,d i clocked a c70 convertale for sale fell in love with it and within 30 minutes id handed over a grand as a deposit . its immaculate on a v plate but this is the bit i may regret , its the 193 bhp 2.4 turbo , and i dont know what you can squeeze out of those engines . but whatever its mine and for some reason that im not sure of yet , im now selling my s4 ?????????? any how feel free to tell me anything you want about the c70 im all ears

i have this engine in my c70, have got the bsr tunning box thing and i am inpressed to be honest,pulls well from low revs. not much help other than to say i am happy with mine!

i have also found that a new k and n panel filter plus a new exhaust helps! sounds good to!lol

My trusted Volvo mechanic prefers the delivery of the LPT more like the original 850 compared to a 70 series T5 I would imagine.

I have the 193bhp LPT engine, and to be honest it pulls in the low revs, but really lacks in the higher revs especially when overtaking (though my car does weigh 2.1 tons!!), but I haven't got an ecu remap yet.
Some people have said before that the 2.5 engines are weak (in modding terms) due to the gap between the cylinders being less, and the higher compression. You can bolt on a 16T turbo, install bigger injectors, exhaust, and get a remap and come out with about 280-290bhp (I think, from memory as the old vpcuk has gone)

well spoke to nat today and she says hamish can re map it to about 235 bhp which is better but most of all i just hope this weather holds out a bit longer a i pick it up tomoroand hope i can get the top off at least for a quick pose around town but then this is england so il asume not eh . my daughter is disgusted as she recons itl mess her hair up and my son says its cool but far too slow, just wish i could afford to keep the s4 too as i must admit 330 bhp is fun , keep the info coming please .

you can see the c70 if you go on ebay and put in volvo c70 convertable in cars section (obviously) and its on page 4 15th item down its up for £ 4495 . and il try and work out how to post pics of the s4 . im not lookng forward to selling it to be honest its awesome but all good things must come to an end i spose

why did you get rid off the Audi? i love my TURBO'D Volvos but the Audi is by far superior!!! i currently own a 95 a6 2.6 moddified from 2 years old i've had it, & currently have an 98 v70r awd which i love dearly! but in no way a German chariot!!!

hi mexybhouy , my trouble is im a bit impulsive and have always loved the c70 convertable so when i saw this c70 in such mint condition i had to have it cos im damn sure it wouldnt of been there for long and after owning it now for a few days i absolutely love it , ok it cant get any where near the s4 performance wise but i love the build and ride and handling of this c70 in fact its very impressive and at the end of the day speed isnt the only thing i want in a car .anyway i aint sold it yet i might keep it so i can polish it and look at it adoringly remembering all those poor boxters and other suposedly fast cars that ive devoured over the years ......aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
