Reckon I'm a reasonably aware character but....
Car in for MOT. No probs that I was aware of. Passed OK (3rd time with me!!apart from no brake lights. I'd had no warning light! Fuse blown. I assume system didn't know lights weren't working, so no warning light!
just shows that it pays to do quick check before going to garage!

EH?no brake lights at all? and no warning light? What's the point of having the warning light??

Perhaps Volvo should have fitted a warning light for the waning ligh??? lol

If the pedal operated switch comes disconnected then the car will assume the brake pedal is not being pressed. Although, saying that I thought it had a brake light confirmation on start up - i.e. press the brake pedal to make the light go out.
