Just thought would see where everyone is going because it is such miserable weather here lol:( I have already been to Greece last month which was lovely and very hot and im off to Australia for 3 weeks in Oct cant wait :biggrin:

Off to France (Pay de Gâtine, 80km inland from la Rochelle, and 60km south of the River Loire) with the bikes next month for 10 days (but flying via la Rochelle). Hopefully to replace the current tide marks with proper cyclists tan lines :) SWSBO off to Lake Garda with her mum in 2 weeks time so I've got the house to myself which could be considered a hol in some cases :lol: And we've booked to go skiing for week in Meribel for X-mas. Good chance to continue the allround need for speed, adrenaline and scare myself silly off- and on-piste. Roll on............
Off to California in August. Not planned route or flights yet but Calistoga, San Fran, Yosmit and disneyland will be in there somewhere :) And if the Firework Shop does well, its Aruba for Christmas :)
Been in Dublin and Munich and just returned from a drive and some cycling round The French Alps for a week, which was Neece. Off to the Nurburgring in 3 weeks time too.
No holidays for me this year, last holiday was a weekend in Germany in 2004, prior to that it was a week in Malta in 1995. Haven't even got a passport. It's always been a really low priority for me.
I went to Leicestershire for a wedding the other month that will be enough for this year lol
Blimey Amanda, you MUST be bored :D Im off to Turkey in 4 weeks, and then Vegas in October. Already been to Lanzarote, Amsterdam and Majorca :D I only work to pay for my holidays ;) I deserve em :D

Rode from SF to South Lake Tahoe via the Golden Gate, Sausalito, Mill Valley, Stinson Beach, Occidental, Callistoga, Clear Lake, Williams, Yuba City, Nevada City, Downieville, Sierraville and Tahoe City. About 700 miles in 2 weeks, and hard miles at that, especially around Nevada City. Nothing planned as far as accomodation except for the first and last nights in SF. Everywhere else was booked as we got there or we rang ahead from the previous night based on recommendations. All the accomodation was excellent and good value apart from Sierraville (expensive and a dump - but run by a Christian retreat group???). Occidental was a wonderful place, many people originating from Italy and the restaurant opposite the motel was sometghing else. Callistoga to Clear Lake was a nightmare, got trapped in an inversion which meant it got hotter the higher we climbed. By the time we got to Yuba City it was well over 100 degrees. About the only time I've been glad of a head wind to help cool us down. Couldn't carry enough drinks to keep up, even had sweat running out of the bottom my cycling shoes at times. 'Orrible. We had planned to go to Yosemite but ran out of time and had to hire a van to get back to SF to fly home. Next time I'll read the maps better. Enjoy it, it's a wonderful part of the world.

And just to prove it and show a bit of the countryside: Piccie1: between Downieville and Nevada City. Piccie 2: somewhere en-route to Williams. Piccie 3: SWSBO :hail::worship: at the top of Yuba Pass. Darn it, I miss the US now for all it's issues. It's a great place for holidays (on a bike that is :biggrin:). Watched the proggie on ITV4 recently about the guy who rode the RAAM last year (respect , makes my 12hr rides look pathetic by comparison) and watching the film of him in Colorado I almost felt homesick :(.
I went to DisneyLand Paris a few weeks back. Just booking something up for Setember/October time, probably Malta. I've had a few of long week ends in Devon, I normally get down there 3 or 4 times a year. My favourite place to go is Illfracombe. Next year I'm going back to Vegas, by the best place i've ever been!
did a blast around costa brava in may with the misses. flew there and hired a car so got around quite a bit. we are thinking of going away again later this year, (that was our plan, 2 holidays one in may and one in september) but god knows if we will sort anything out
Went to Tignes skiing in easter. Been off to Lanzarote with my mates a couple of weeks ago, off to Cyprus end of September. May squeeze in another trip to France or Portugal and maybe a trip to Amsterdam with friends if money's ok Dave

Unfortunatly our holiday plans are off for this year as we're buying a new house. Happy at the fact, but very sad at no holiday. But no doubt next year we're either popping back to Hong Kong or will do some where in the USA again

Did a Week Scuba Diving in the Northern Red Sea in March. Whole week living on a boat being waited on Hand & Foot Bliss
I've just purchased a tent after consistent pestering from the wife and kids, so end of July going tent camping for the first time in my life in Devon. Next year hopefully doing the Disneyland USA thing as the kids will be 10 and 6 by then and hopefully remember most of it.
