Hi, has anyone converted an auto to manual, I have manual engine/box and want to put it into a auto, both cars 98 S70 t5 I suspect bell housing/exhaust/gear stick positioning problems but would like to know if anyone out there has carried out the mod, thank's Sam.

Hi Check out dougt5r on the members list i think you will find he has done a swap with auto to manu, he's done just about all you can do I think.
Its easy. Well its not but it is. Its no more difficult than removing the transmission would be anyways. Everything bolts right in you just need the: Transmission (any 96+ M56H will work) Pedal assembly Shifter, Shift Assembly and cables Clutch Master and Slave cylinders (and the line that connects em) Clutch and throwout bearing The auto axles will work fine. The hardest part is only if your fat like me, is working under the dash. Honestly, I'd rather pull a motor than deal with the interior BS on these cars.
