We even managed to go and see my next car (S60R in Becklands Volvo - Black with 18s, mushroom interior - Ohh Yes) There was that chav prat in his VW Polo. Obviously didn't see me coz his cap peak was over his eyes. He certainly picked on the wrong Volvo. Later there was that Jeep Cherokee with aspirations of Speed! :cuckoo: Anyway - I had a great time and was glad that the boost gauge went in OK - even if it took a bit longer than it should. What boost levels were you getting from yours, Chris?
I fitted my boost gauge a couple of months ago now. I wasn't sure wether i wanted it to be temporary or permanent. I have now decided to keep it. could you tell me how to connect it to the dash illumination? Thanks, Steve.

If you give a large welly 4th it climbs to just over 0.65 Good / Bad ???????????????? Chris Gibbo
Open the drivers door Pull back the rubber seal off the frame - exposing the bit next to the end of the dashboard. Undo the 3 screws to release the plastic cover above the pedals and pull the cover out from the slots on each side. Depending on what you have on the gauge - you can either chocolate box or use spade connectors on the end of the wires coming out the gauge. Get 2 lengths of wire - 5 amp is more than enough - about 18 inches long. Thread the wire into the gap between the end of the dash and the door frame. Remove the headlight switch from the dash, either by reaching inside the dash from the footwell or by prising it out with a screwdriver or pulling on the knob. Feed the wires up and through the hole where the light switch is. Twist the bear end up on the live wire (I used red and black wires) and wedge it into the back of the switch (I think it is position 4) where the blue and yellow wire comes out on the top row of the connector. Do the same for the other wire and wedge it into the end connection where the black wire comes out. Feed the other end of the wires behind the plastic fascia at the end of the dash where the air comes out to blow on the window. Connect up to the gauge. Put all the trim back into place. Put the cover in the footwell into place (make sure you get the slots into the right place on the hinges either side) and screw it back up. Turn on the ignition to ensure that the connection is good before pushing back the switch into its hole. JOB DONE :beer: Drink beer and be happy!

But we know that from what you said that there are a few niggles to work out. If she spikes to .75 and holds at .65 then there is promise there.
