Knackered the rear wheel on my MountainBike I have been biking round Ladybower/Derwent resovoir, was enjoying some nice downhill technical session when (i think) i clipped a rather large rock which smashed a few spokes and made me lose the rear end. Tried to correct but at high speed lost control and found the back wheel trying to over take me - over the handle bars i start to head. But as my rear end is riding wide and i've tried to correct as i was flying over the bars the handle spin round trapping my ankle against the frame it then sends me into a spin in mid air. Hit the deck with the minimium of damage (few cuts/grazes) my fat ass has landed on the front wheel and i find myself facing the other way staring at my trapped ankle but everytime i move the grip on my ankle tightens. Luckily my mate was behind me, im on the hard deck screaming as i'm trapped - my mate had to release my foot and pick me up. I'm glad the ankle injury was just above the joint so i was able to walk that off. My knee on the over hand is really really suffering. Oh and my ass hurts from it :sorry: It wasnt the first time i came off and i ran dry on water. I went off biking very quickly but things picked up on the last decent thankfully and found the funny side of things. Now to get the bike repaired......
Me seeing the funny side of things at the end.....
