Sure this one has been asked before but here goes.I am looking to fit a Cd player in my S40,but the current one is a double din and want to fit a normal cd player.Do you need to buy a blanking bit from Volvo or can i get one somewhere else?
The Volvo unit is a doublke DIN so if u replace it with a single u will have a gap....there is a unit available for £7 (my local audio dealer) so u can have a storage box under or below your head unit....might need a bit of re shaping to make it fit right but.....?
you may need an iso wiring harness adaptor, again about £10

go to your volvo dealer and get them to order in a cd holder. its an 8 disk holder that fits in one of the DIN slots, and will be just under £20 i think, but more practical than a coin box, and fits perfectly
Good to know this stuff, although my T4 has a cd player I might want to change it in time.
