    Volvo s60 t5 Q car (Stealth)

Well back again in another volvo, this time a s60 t5.
Ok so i have owned this for almost 2 months now and have to say im loving every minute of it.
I started to look for another volvo a few months ago, i know what i wanted engine wise (2.4 t5) but could not decide on a v70 or a s60 so just kept looking online for a few weeks.
Went to see a ex plod v70 in Manchester, drove ok power was good but did have a few issues and the seller did not like my offer lol.
The a week later a lovely looking s60 came up on gumtree, black low miles loved the interior but it was priced a little too high for what it was so waited, sure enough it started to drop in price every few days then i phoned the chap and sounded him out on a offer of 2k.
Went to see it drove it and bought it straight away.
So i ended up with a lovely 2005 black volvo s60 t5 with 124k miles and full service history, clutch and cam belt change in the last year also.

So took me about 1 week before i wanted to change stuff, wheels first.
Got my self some nebs and gave them a different color.

Think this is a better picture to see the colour of the wheels.

So with her alloys looking better i wanted to get her lower than stock so decided to go with some coilovers, lucky for me someone was selling some on another forum a few weeks ago.
Ended up with some Bc coilovers, had these fitted by shem while he also built me a nice system.

A very nice full 3" sytem from turbo back, no cat now but will probably get a sports cat put it at some point, sounds so nice and on full boot turns some heads.

Well with everything you mod you are bound to show some weak points and it did, on the way home she was smoking everytime i slowed down or stopped, workout out it was the pcv system and done the glove tests while fumes were coming out the oil filler hole lol, started to strip this all down, orded the parts i needed from another company to find out they did not have the mettal pipe with the little pipes coming off them, delay of a week i was not happy as they had taken my money and not even told me this, spoke to shem again and he said for me to check a small vac pipe that leads off the bigger one and sure enough it had snapped, fixed this and put all back together as the pcv tank was pritty much empty so no need to replace these.

So back out for a drive and shes still smoking but not as bad, done a oil change for she started to smoke more so had to be turbo seals.
Well stripped it all off took the turbo out (pain) and gave to Shem to rebuild and while its away would be rude not to get the 11 blade billet wheel installed also.

So while the turbo is away i decided to crack on with the other mods i needed to get a stage 2.5 remap from Shem.
I had a set of good vxr injectors bought already so next needed a front mount intercooler, was tempted by the Kl racing units but also wanted to save money as the turbo was a expense i did not factor in.
    I ended up with this.
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007143769...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I had searched the web for other s60/v70s that had a front mount and found some helpful guides over in the states so knew what i needed to make it all fit, bought these.
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4001140283...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Thought 3" would be too big so 2.5 should be fine, also got Shems new work buddy to make me a pipe for the boost sensor to fit into and also the vac line.
So one dry day i set about fitting it in.

Looked better but it started to bug me as the car was low at the front now and i have speed bumps all down my road and had another go a few days later and moved it alot further up and managed to get the plastic back on so gave extra support and no chance of it hitting bumps in the road.

Also had a fiddle with the back springs as sat to high while i was board lol, will get some pics once i can move the car under its own power as she looks like this at the moment.

So things to do, install turbo this week all being well, check back ride hight, fit injectors and get it mapped hopfuly next week.
Also forgot to mention with the intercooler install i needed 2x 3" to 2.5" 90 bends these did not come in the pipe set i bought.

Nice. Since the turbo is out, are you upgrading the cbv, actuator or the compressor wheel?

As you can see the 11 blade wheel.

Well got it all back together after a few hours and then went for a blast, i must say she pulls nice now and alot stronger at the top end / redline, and im still on stock boost/ map.
Managed a 6.7 60 to 100mph in 3rd, cant wait to get her mapped now.

Well not much been going on apart from fault finding with the s60.
Kept getting a P0101 fault code so had a check for leaks and nothing, then the car started to run rough, like that bad you could not even drive her, so pulled the maf plug while the engine was running and no change so thought it could not be the Maf, I would clear codes and as soon as i started the car the P0101 code would come back.
Stripped the intercooler out all hoses to look for holes/ splits and nothing.
Managed to get a Maf off Shem to try and even though i thought it would not work it did to my surprise, so no more p0101 code but now was getting a p0100 code lol but think it could be the check valves to the right of the head under the air box so have ordered some to replace them, also got some volvo plugs coming to finish off the service then all being well she will be mapped this week, well as long as no more faults/codes come up.

Lovely car and a great bargain. Those Pesky MAF codes can be a pain to work out and glad you got it sorted. I wish I had a Shem on my doorstep grrr
