I've seen 4 lists / tables of production numbers and all differ, my list is the closest anyone will get to the exact numbers left.

No it's a totally pointless exercise as no useful information is stored, I.e some of the cars have been through 4 or 5 hands and posted up that many times.

This is the reason I collected all forsale adverts over the last 3yrs or so, I now have 275-280 of the 320 odd 850r's / t5r's on taxed on the road, also I've popped them in folders by colour and estate or saloon and most are noted if auto or manual, so I can give a very good indication of what's left.

But I'm not allowed to collect personal information on the forum (I understand the reasons why not and can't be helped) so you'll just have you use this white elephant of a stupid thread.

People do however send me private messages so it's not in the public eye via Facebook etc

looks like total nonsense tbh, I have a source that came from the factory and the numbers add up and make much more sense.

Checking the number of olive I have listed now its also very comparable to what the Volvo list says we received.

yellow 2537
black 2516
green 1911

are the numbers I have and they include a full breakdown of, manual / auto / estate / saloon and if left or right hand drive and which countries received how many.

also source quoted as "Volvo archives"

That is unless we did actually get 50% of all the worldwide production run of olive and still currently have 20% left on our roads, which I find very hard to believe.

I post as its what i own, under my username on here, its not a detailed database and was/is never going to be.
Its which owners own what model at this time, you deal in hard data........look elsewhere.........simple really

Im sure you have a very detailed database of cars owned/ history etc , this is not a thread as per DVLA might hold is it !!
Was never intended to be as if it was then much more detailed information would be needed.......so in my opinion..NO !! To me my post isnt pointless.

it was fully intended to gather information as to numbers that where left / produced, I was around when the thread was started and know the author, but still always amazes me how stupid a thread it is, as I said before you/d be better off posting in how my rides sits.

As for being into cars I have 5, 4 of which are Volvos and had 17 r's, so yes im into Volvos and cars in general.

Just noticed I was the second person to post on the thread which does say originally post a pic, but you must have missed that part.

I would ask niles to comment but I gather he is still nursing his stick mum in the south of France the last I heard (that part is sarcasm btw).

My opinion since my name came up....this thread is still a good idea as it is more a list of who is driving what on the forum, rather than a real register of the cars. Posting "pointless" after someones info is just going to piss them off btw

...but a real database of these rare cars is a good idea, so well done there Ettienne on that...I was trying to do the same with R5 turbos but then was given a link to this below:

Did you contact the chap I gave you the number for with the renaults?

They def had some gordinis (I had 3 ) and I think turbo2's but he runs a specialist renault garage, so most likely knows where a few are.

Sam on the R5gordini site? That site has been merged with Turbo Renault forum, which I am a member of - thanks but I never got the chance to follow it up. If he's a forum member any spare cars will get good homes I am sure

anyway, to get back on topic, we have a smiley for this sort of thing....

I was a member / am a member of andrews r5 site (whatever it was called) so still have an account on new site.

There should be an orange Gordini I hooked someone up with on there last year, if it's not been bought I'll drop past next time I'm local to the seller to see if it gone

Exactly for the smiley and Purple or grey t5r's are the rarest btw (experimental colours used by Volvo and still exist and registered in Sweden)

I have heard Ettienne keeps all kinds of data, facts and figures, if he wanted to add some extra data he could have pm`d me and i would have given him some info on the car for his database..........but no..............best i leave it there.........

I'm now using dvla data, which is quite accurate currently I'm at about 87% coverage and you obviously at no obligation to provide data, Gul there's nothing special about guls so it's not really a loss, plus I'll just add the data.

Gul,Olive Green,Black...a picture of the car from a side view......sure that helps !..whatever the colour its a T5R........owners of these models probably think their cars are special to them...thats what matters...heard about you a while back.....seems they were right......enough of this.im off to have an intelligent conversation with someone.........
