    Foaming Whats Best

What is the most highly recommended foam cleaner fluid on the market. What's good and what's rubbish. Have been using Karcher Foaming in my Karcher K4 seems to work ok but it isn't cheap.

Demon foam isn't bad, leaves a slight wax layer.
I bought 4 x 5L bottles of foam from eBay a while back for 27 quid. Different flavours - apple, pineapple, cherry and watermelon.
The foam goes on nice and thick and sticks for the 5 minutes I usually leave it before jetting it off. Again, it leaves a slight wax layer.
Both the above work as well as the karcher stuff that came with my K2.

For a start, do you actually have a proper snow foam attachment? I ask, as I bought the basic Karcher one and they are useless. Recently bought a proper one and can now make proper clingy foam, like they are supposed to do.

That's the stuff I usually use or sometimes I use a citrus pre wash as this does a better job of breaking down tar spots etc and also doesn't remove any wax.

Totally agree with this, you need a good one, generally around £35

I've got the little foam nozzle with a bottle under it that came as part of the karcher car kit. Works perfectly (if a little overzealous with the mix ratio)

I use VP Snow Foam with a squirt of Meguiars Hyper Wash (at the moment) through a snow foam lance. Get a really good foam out of it that takes a good 5-10 minutes to dwell.

Be cautious, don't let the foam dry out on the car - especially in this weather. You'll be correcting the paint for weeks. (Not from experience - fortunately!)

I hope you lads are all recovering this foam when it's washed off the car & not letting it go in the drains, as recommended in most of MSDS that I've seen

(that is my excuse for being a lazy £££££££ & going to a car wash)

I sometimes also use a citrus degreaser on the bottom half of the panels before using the snowfoam as this helps to break down some of the traffic film.

That's the recommendation for the product straight from the bottle - not after a mix.

    This one?
    http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products...ogIaAktF8P8HAQ

or this one (or a similar one)?
    http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products...bHAaAlq18P8HAQ

Mine is (was) the former, and they are dog££££. If you can get the foam from one of those to dwell for more than a few minutes, then it must be some seriously thick solution you are using. Also comes with the additional frustration that when finished, you can't 100% empty the bottle due to a lip inside the top (it's not a problem but it always irritated me).
