    Where would I stand bringing another passenger could he pay at the gate? Dont want him to get there and not be allowed, setting off just now and need to know before I set off.

    According to the info, if you haven't got your ticket, you will be charged at the gate, so I would say he can pay on the gate.

    It may make you look a bit strange, but as soon as it stops raining hose it all off and it should look fine.
