Dyno day at marlin motors in milton keynes

as i was only 2 miles away from this this morning i thought it would be rude not to have a gander, there was a couple of tuned s60rs making around 340bhp, chris made 330bhp and ed 275ish, my car made a nice 298.1 bhp which was nice lol

What has been done to yours to get 300bhp? I need to find out what mine is putting out but scared of it being dissapointed... I have had 158mph on my sat nav though and it was still going before I thought I saw a police man and did a rasin in my super man boxer shorts. It's not an AWD unfortunately but she's got some poke with boost turned up and de-cat etc...

Nice figures mate, was you expecting more? Not bad for a second hand engine!

Still... way to catch up with Dean yet
Arguing is pointless....she may not be right but she's never wrong

Tell her a remap is just having your satnav updated.....

I'm confused here frankie, are these all at the flywheel figures apart from eds?
As his is an auto, his has to be at the wheels.

not really mate only 20 bhp and i reckon with my boost at 22psi i'll have that easy, getting it custom mapped soon enough. expecting less mate as its on a standard map now as swapped mine with adam280 last week

I'm pretty sure that ed's figure has not been measured at the wheels.....275 bhp come on!!! As not many people can do autos they work out a rough average and give you an estimated figure.

Well done on your bhp figure frankie.

What sort of power figures did everyone else get? Do you know what sort of wheel horse power you and other people got.

So that means eds has more power than yours then as his is 275@wheels.

I much prefer when these are done at the wheels, as theres enough variables as it is when it comes to dyno runs without not knowing the at the wheel figures.

Remember that a dyno measures the power at the wheels, not the engine, then the software converts that into engine power.

I know it does sound high.
All autos should be at the wheels, there shouldn't be any estimating involved, you stick it in 3rd and press the winter button, that way its locks into 3rd.
As the dyno measures power at the wheel and not at the engine there should be only one figure you can use.

i've already said that the runs were done in top gear flat out, and his car never in a million years has 275bhp at the wheels thats more than deans
